Good morning, Saturday!
First order of business? It's belated, and I don't care! The new Naruto chapter pleased me. I'm very eager to read the next issue, and all for Kisame. Frankly, the manga doesn't see enough of him (but I'm somebody that could read a manga all about Kisame, so I'm not sure if my opinion qualifies or not due to my bias... XD) Anyway, yeah, really looking forward to it. I'm also really looking forward to Sakura's conversation with Naruto. Speaking of Naruto, he's rapidly becoming one of my favorites in the manga. I would also like to shout out to Anya for remembering to prod me every week and remind me to read the manga in the first place (although you won't need to remind me next issue, bb. I'll be all over that spread like jam on toast.)
Ignoring the mental image there, let's move on to the second order of business! I only have TWO people I can write letters to. WHAT IS THIS?! Well, I'll get on those and I'll probably have them sent out before Monday, unless I decide to doodle on the letters before I send them, in which case the sending date might be closer to Wednesday. Whoops! But they'll be personalized and full of love, at least!
No word back yet from Mike Johnston, the editing manager at Oshawa This Week. I'll follow up the e-mail on Tuesday, I think, with an inquiry. That's not the only volunteering I'm getting involved with, though. Or trying to get involved with. I've been trying to contact the members of Earth Roots for a couple of weeks now, but maybe the e-mail I addressed my inquiry to isn't being used anymore, I don't know. I didn't hear back from them, but yesterday they put out a new newsletter, and in that newsletter was contact information for a John McDonnell, in charge of a project they call CPAWS (Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society), more specifically the OV (Ottawa Valley) branch. Anyway, my point is, they're collecting signatures, so I sent McDonnell an e-mail saying I'd like to help. This campaign is more specifically linked to the protection of wolves and the parks they are supposed to be safe in, but aren't safe in, and raising awareness. So, if you known anyone in Canada, guys, besides me, help pass on the word, especially if they like volunteering or wolves, or both.
The website in question can be found here @ Earth Roots, and if anybody wants the newsletter issued yesterday, let me know, I'll e-mail it to you.
Backtracking again and touching base on a little bit of personal, school related news, the head of the Character Education Committee was the one that couldn't make the meeting yesterday. All of the student participants showed up, but she was in a meeting and had lost track of time, and therefore had to reschedule... although we don't know the reschedule date, she'll "be in touch". I'm a little irritated in regards to this; to date, I am the only person on the committee that has been there from day one, every day. I know people get busy, but when you run something like this, especially when the goal we are aiming for is seriously time restricted, you should at least have better time-management skills than that!
Okay, I think I'm about done my rant for the morning... I'll end with a question I would like my Flist to PLEASE answer, it'll take you guys only a minute. :P
On a personal or global front, what are a few decisions you think that you or people as a whole need to start making a.s.a.p.?
